United for Ukraine: An Inspiring Evening on M/S Sandnes

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Partners and a Wonderful Evening on Board M/S Sandnes

We would like to express our gratitude and admiration for Per and Svitlana Haarr from the Norsk Ukrainsk Støtteforening Trident, the Ukrainian Association in Rogaland, and Nattruten M/S Sandnes.

On Saturday, 1 November 2025, Nordic SOS Ukraine had the pleasure of participating in the beautiful charity event "Ukrainian Evening" on board M/S Sandnes.

The event, organized by NUSSS Norsk Ukrainsk Støtteforening Trident, the Ukrainian Association in Rogaland, and Nattruten M/S Sandnes, gathered more than 100 guests together with a large group of dedicated volunteers for an evening filled with warmth, solidarity, community and heartfelt cultural experiences.

Guests enjoyed a delicious four-course Ukrainian dinner, inspiring speeches from individuals working closely with the front line — including Hans Hermansen — and moving musical performances by the vocal ensemble Mrija.

🎤 The auction, led by the always-engaging Arvid Mæland, brought both joy and generosity — raising a significant amount to support humanitarian aid efforts in Ukraine.

❤️ All proceeds go directly to aid work in Ukraine.
The current fundraising focus is on securing evacuation transport for the Rubizh Brigade — an urgent and vital initiative.

  • Two 4x4 five-seater cars

  • One larger van

  • Any additional 4x4 vehicle (as the needs of the brigade remain substantial)
